INTRODUCTION
Global Light is a non-profit organization dedicated to addressing critical environmental and humanitarian needs around the world. Our key areas of focus include promoting clean energy solutions, providing access to clean water and sanitation, encouraging sustainable food production and consumption, and improving health care availability.
Promoting Clean Energy Solutions
Since our founding in 2008, Global Light has worked in over 50 countries and formed partnerships with 300 like-minded NGOs, charities, and aid organizations. We have delivered clean water access to over 5 million people, brought solar lighting to 200 remote communities, helped build 120 community farms and gardens, and provided basic medical care to those in need through mobile clinics and training for local healthcare workers.
Encouraging Sustainable Food Production and Consumption
Our goal is to uplift humanity by tackling the most pressing issues facing our planet. We aim to bring the world to a higher level through our programs focused on clean energy, clean water, clean living, clean food, and clean healthcare. Everything we do is centered around sustainability and using innovative technology to find solutions that work for people and the planet.
A brand new way
As we look ahead, Global Light aims to continue expanding our reach to make change on a global scale. Key priorities include growing our renewable energy projects to reach 1 million people by 2025, launching sanitation and hygiene initiatives across Africa and Asia, developing 50 new community farms per year focused on local, organic food, and deploying healthcare drones and telemedicine to double the number of patients we can treat. We have an ambitious vision but see immense potential for creating lasting change through our integrated approach targeting interconnected issues.
